During the last year we have been setting up the bases to start working more actively with Instrument Flight Procedures (IFP) designed according to PANS OPS criteria. FLYGHT7 was created as a small consultancy firm with the idea to provide expert advice when you need it the most. There is absolutely no denial that flight procedure design is a complex topic that requires the people working with it to keep not only up to date but to refresh their knowledge with the new and latest developments that are published in the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Standard and Recommended Practices (SARPs) as well as associated documentation.
Often attending PANS OPS courses or other IFP courses is not enough since unfortunately in many parts of the world there is a lack of Senior mentors or coaches that are able to polish the skills learnt during the conventional and PBN courses. It is within this scope that we at FLYGHT7 aim to not only provide with the technical design services together with our network of partners in different aviation area domain but are ready to offer advice, mentoring and tutoring if that is required to achieve the proficiency and competency for performing this job.
We also intend to foster a community of experts and newcomers where we can exchange ideas, articles, exercises and share experiences. Until now we have found that the Instrument Flight Procedure Design (IFPD) community is hard to reach and the different active forums have come and gone due to many reasons, we really want to bring a space where different questions may be addressed like document errors, real life scenario issues, software implementations and just plainly connect as instrument flight procedure designers.
Finally, we want to welcome other interconnected branches like aeronautical information management, aeronautical charting, air traffic controllers and really anyone that wants to learn more or are curious about IFP design to connect
